Cúirt Over The Edge Showcase Reading

THE 2011 Cúirt Over The Edge reading, a major showcase for emerging writers, takes place in the Druid Lane Theatre on Wednesday at 3.30pm.

Nicola Griffin grew up in Cheshire and now lives in Clare. She has a regular column in Inland Waterways News and her poetry has been published in Ropes Unravelled, The Sunday Tribune, and Crannóg.

Corkonian Paul Casey writes poetry and in 2010 he completed a poetry-film, The Lammas Hireling, which was been accepted for Berlin’s Zebra International Poetry-Film festival.

Celeste Augé was born in Canada but now lives in Galway. She writes fiction and poetry and was short-listed for a Hennessy Literary Award for poetry. Sarah Clancy’s debut collection of poems, Stacy and The Mechanical Bull, was published recently by Lapwing Press.

Marie Cadden lives in An Spidéal. Her poems have been published in The Recorder, THE SHOp, and Ropes. Hedy Gibbons’ work has been broadcast on RTÉ’s Sunday Miscellany and Lyric FM’s Quiet Quarter. Her poetry has been widely published and short-listed for a number of awards.

Admission is free and all are welcome. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars.
