What Liam Neeson and Susan Sarandon think of home

HOME, A thought-provoking documentary, exploring the meaning of ‘home’ for someone living abroad, will be screened in the Station House Cinema in Clifden on Friday November 7 at 8pm.

Home is written and co-produced by Alan Cooke and directed by Dawn Scibilia. Cooke, a young Dublin actor and writer, reflects on his recent arrival in New York, exploring such themes as nostalgia, the journey, and the concept of home.

The film features interviews with New Yorkers Susan Sarandon, Alfred Molina, Fran Liebowitz, and Rosie Perez, as well as New York based Irish people like Liam Neeson and Frank McCourt.

Home has drawn praise from the acclaimed Irish film maker Jim Sheridan who said it “beautifully captures the Irish immigrant’s journey through the myth and mystery of New York.”

The Clifden screening will be followed by a Q&A with Alan Cooke. See www.homethemovie.com
