New restaurant to create twenty jobs in Galway city

There was some good news for Galway this week as 20 jobs will be created with the opening of a new bar and restaurant in the city centre.

The eatery, formerly known as Morgan’s Bar, will be located at the Forster Court Hotel. The current building is undergoing a full redesign and refurbishment overseen by owner, Galway native Ronan Lawless.

Mr Lawless’ company, the Forster Group, which currently employs 100 people, runs a number of other businesses in the hospitability industry throughout the city including the River Inn Bar & Restaurant, the Forster Court Hotel, O’Connell’s Bar in Eyre Square, Fox’s Bar, the Oaks Student Accommodation Complex on Bishop O’Donnell Road, and Forster Stores located on Bothar Ui Eithir, and the newly opened Forster Stores premises at Cooke’s Corner.

Johnny Bonner, spokesperson for the group, commented: “The opening of this bar and restaurant will complement the recent refurbishment of our hotel on Forster Street. We believe that there is a niche for a new restaurant in the city centre and ours will be offering something totally new to the Galway food scene.”

Recruitment is now open for all positions, CVs to be sent for the attention of Martin to martin@forster courthotel.com
