Mulholland odds show Labour will challenge for Galway East seat

Fine Gael will keep its two seats, Fianna Fáil will lose one, and the Independents will take a seat, but do not rule out Labour causing an upset.

This is what John Mulholland Bookmakers is predicting will happen in Galway East. Although the Fianna Fáil ticket has yet to be finalised, the bookmakers are already offering odds on what will happen in the constituency and it predicts that Fine Gael’s Paul Connaughton and Ciaran Cannon, Independent Sean Canney, and Fianna Fáil’s Michael Kitt will take the four seats. However Mulholland’s is advising bettors to be aware of “a strong Labour challenge that is as likely to come from Higgins as it is from Keaveney”.
