Win The King’s Speech goodie bags

ENGLAND’S GEORGE VI suffered from a speech impediment and found himself king after his brother had unexpectedly abdicated.

Now in a role he neither sought nor wanted, he saw his country about to face Germany in a world war, and the British people looking to him for leadership and inspiration.

This is the background to the acclaimed new film The King’s Speech, which is currently on show in cinemas and stars Colin Firth, in a possibly career defining performance, as George VI.

To mark the release of the film the Galway Advertiser has three The King’s Speech goodie bags to give away. The bags include a cup, diary, bag, and bookmarks.

To be in with a chance to win just answer the following question: From when to when did George VI reign as King of Britain?

Email your answers to [email protected] and write The King’s Speech Competition in the subject heading. You must include your name, address, and a telephone number at which you can be contacted. The closing date for entries is Wednesday January 19 at 5pm.
