Salthill history and magical tales at the museum

Storytelling sessions for children and for adults and a talk about the history of Salthill take place in the Galway City Museum next week.

Tom Kenny of The Kenny Gallery, will give a talk entitled The Rise of Salthill, next Monday at 7pm, focusing on the rise of Salthill as a seaside and tourist resort.

On Saturday next Niall De Búrca will regale children with stories about Galway as well as a humorous tale about the invention of the English language.

Tuesday’s storytelling session, Weird Tales with Rab Swannock Fulton, is for adults only and begins at 8pm in the Museum café. There is an admission fee of €8 for this.
