Saw Docs to preview new album at Kelly’s

BEFORE THE Saw Doctors perform at Glastonbury, the band will play two warm up shows at Kelly’s Bar, Bridge Street, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On the night, the band will preview all 11 new songs from their forthcoming studio album Further Adventures, which, by all accounts, has a more rock orientated approach than previous releases.

The album was recorded over the last 12 months in Rockfield Studios in Wales and Grouse Lodge Studios in Co Westmeath. It was produced by Philip Tennant and will be released on Shamtown Records in late August.

Eimhin Cradock from Headford, the new drummer with The Saw Doctors, has co-written many of the songs, including the first single, ‘Takin’ The Train’, which will be in the shops and available as a digital download on Friday July 2.

The shows will also act as post-match entertainment for World Cup fans. Davy, Leo, and the lads will be on stage at 9.45pm on both nights, ie, after the World Cup matches which start at 7.30pm (Nigeria v South Korea and Greece v Argentina on Tuesday and Ghana v Germany and Australia v Serbia on Wednesday ).

There are only 175 tickets available for these two intimate Galway shows so get yours now.
