In a quest to find and recognise customer service excellence in the service industry in Galway city and county, Galway’s Best Awards 2010 has been launched by Central Park Group, in association with Heineken.

The initiative, which is supported by Fáilte Ireland and the Galway Chamber of Commerce, is the brainchild of Paula Feeney, marketing manager for the Central Park Group. Feeney says: “The awards have developed from the very simple concept of recognising and celebrating the hard work put in on a daily basis in the service sector, by Galway businesses and their staff. Quality of service and care of our customers may well be the tools that set Galway apart, on a permanent basis, from our competitor cities in Ireland.”

Categories in the awards include best hotel, café, restaurant, pub, fashion retailer, and festival/event. Businesses that fall under any of the named categories are invited to log onto www.GalwaysBestAwards.com and enter their business; which then will be put to a public vote over the summer period in order to find the ‘best’ in each group.

Winners of each category will be announced and given the title of ‘Galway’s Best 2010’ at a spectacular awards night which will be held in the newly refurbished Central Park nightclub this September. The closing date for entries is Monday May 24 at 5pm. To enter your business or for more information, log onto www.Galways BestAwards.com
