Scouting For Girls are coming west

GOOD THINGS come to those who wait and this old adage is certainly true for British pop-rockers Scouting For Girls.

Having toiled away for 10 years unsigned, SFG found themselves ‘everybody’s favourite new band’ in 2008 when their debut album went to number one in Britain, sold more than 900,000 copies, and the band themselves were nominated for three Brit Awards.

The band - Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse, and Peter Ellard - have enjoyed hits with catchy piano-led pop songs like ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Heartbeat’, ‘It’s Not About You’, and ‘Elvis Ain’t Dead’.

SFG have released their second album, Everybody Wants To Be On TV. The BBC said it is sure to “charm daytime radio programmers and sell by the lorry-load”.

As part of their current tour, the band are coming west to play the Royal Theatre Castlebar on Saturday April 24 at 7pm.

Tickets are available from www.ticketmaster.ie and The Royal Box Office on 0818 300 000. See also www.theroyal.ie
