Lecture on Irish history at city museum

STEVEN ELLIS, a leading expert on Tudor Ireland will deliver a public lecture on how The English Pale and partition have affected Irish history next week.

Prof Ellis is the established professor of history at NUI, Galway and his lecture, entitled The English Pale, Partition and ‘Two Nations Theory’, will be delivered in the Galway City Museum on Wednesday at 7.30pm sharp. It will be followed by a short question and answer series.

Admission is free and all are welcome. Wine and cheese will be served before the event which is part of NUIG’s Professing The Humanities lecture series.
