Visiting restrictions at nursing home after winter vomiting bug outbreak

Visiting restrictions have been put in place at Aras Mhic Dara Community Nursing Unit in Carraroe due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Management at the nursing home advised on Tuesday that visiting restrictions have been put in place due to the presence of the winter vomiting bug Norovirus. They have confirmed that all appropriate infection control measures are being taken to deal with this situation.

All urgent enquiries should be referred to the unit by telephone. Aras Mhic Dara is calling for the public’s cooperation while these restrictions are in place.
