Thrilling post-rock for Kelly’s

ONCE THE music starts, a tall, thin man in a red wool balaclava from which he cannot see, leaps from the stage and runs, dances, and stumbles maniacally around, before slinging on his bass guitar.

Once armed, he and his two colleagues launch into some of the fastest, heaviest, and jaw droopingly thrilling post-rock you can possibly hear. This is Wexford’s Adebisi Shank who play a Stress!! and Gigantic gig at Kelly’s, Bridge Street, on Saturday at 8pm.

Adebisi Shank have played Galway on a number of occasions and recently toured Japan in support of Lite. After this show they will be taking some time out to work on their next album. The band are on the Irish independent label Richter Collective. Other acts include Bats and Enemies and the label will also release the next album by The Redneck Manifesto!

Support on the night is from Ennis band Cities.
