Intensive Irish course for prospective primary school teachers

Galwegians in line for the interview for the Graduation Diploma in Education (primary teaching ) can get help with the important Irish language element of the interview from Conradh Na Gaeilge.

The Marino Institute of Education, St Patrick’s College of Education, and Mary Immaculate College, Limerick are holding interviews in early January for their post graduate diplomas leading to a qualification in primary school teaching.

Prospective students must demonstrate competency in spoken Irish in order to take up highly sought after places on these courses.

A weekend intensive Irish language course will take place in Conradh Na Gaeilge, 45 Sráid Doiminic, on Friday December 11 from 7pm to 9pm and on Saturday 12 from 10am to 5pm. The course is specifically designed to refresh participants’ Irish and them confidence and conversation skills. A mock interview will also be held at the culmination of the course.
