Stagecoach Galway to perform The Rocky Monster Show

Stagecoach Theatre Arts has announced it will perform Malcolm Sircom's junior version of The Rocky Monster Show by kind arrangement with Musicline Publications, at the Bank of Ireland Theatre, NUI Galway, on Saturday December 12.

This will be the Galway centre's first performance since it broke the Guinness world record last year with the musical Glad Rags, which simultaneously performed with 66 other Stagecoach schools around the world.

Galway principal John Lucey said: “Malcolm Sircom sadly passed away last year after a long illness but the quality of his work will stand the test of time.

"This is a clever, bizarre, anarchic, and very funny musical which laughs at Phantom of The Opera, Bride of Frankenstien, The Addams Family, and Dracula among many”.

Lucey continued saying: “Educated at Cambridge and a with successful musical theatre career, Sircom was always happiest working with children, because he was like a 10-year-old himself. He truly understood how to write musicals for children and entertain parents with nostalgic and pastiche moments.”

There are no seats available for purchase, but there are limited seats for prospective new students if booked in advance, and accompanied by a parent or guardian. More information can be found at www.stagecoach.ie/galway or 091 556274.
