Titans under pressure as injuries mount

Titans Basketball Club hosts National League leaders St Mary’s of Castleisland this Saturday (7pm ) at the Kingfisher NUIG.

Titans will need to produce a much improved performance if they are to take the points in this fixture as St Mary’s come into this match in great form which has seen them comfortably dispose of all opposition to date.

Titans are suffering a continued run of injuries which has put the focus on its bench to fill the gap, and head coach Joe Coughlan is calling for a huge effort on Saturday.

Titans defence will need to tighten up. Lacking intensity and pressure recently, it has given up too many easy shots, allowing the opposition to stay in the match.

However Saturday brings an opportunity to show the work done, and with big men Dave O’Keeffe and Paul Freeman leading the way, Titans will look to exert more control at both ends.

Sean Carroll, a recent addition, has been thrust into leading some young charges in the front court and his experience will be needed to guide these players through in a match that will be full of intensity, pressure, and provide great entertainment this Saturday night.
