The deadline is fast-approaching for entrepreneurs who wish to share in the Impact Media Elevate Award 2009, with a fantastic business-boosting prize worth €120,000.

Judges Pat McDonagh of Supermacs, Tom Murphy of Total Shaving Solution and Niall McGarry of Impact Media are standing by to find Galway’s best new business.

Already, entries are at record levels and there are just days to go to the closing date of Tuesday, October 27.

New Galway businesses, or entrepreneurs who are just starting out with an idea they believe can make the grade, are urged to log onto www.impactmedia.ie, if they don’t want to miss out on their chance to win a complete marketing, web, PR and advertising package from Impact Media; print services from Castle Print; advertising the Galway Advertiser and i102-104; legal expertise from RDJ solicitors; and photographic services from viewmaker.

This year, for the first time, the awards have also been opened to businesses in Limerick to celebrate the recent opening of Impact Media's offices in the Treaty City, and the huge prize fund will be split evenly between two lucky winners, one from Galway and the other from Limerick.

Once all applications have been assessed, six short-listed entrants from each region will be invited to make their pitch in front of the judging panel.

After those intensive pitching sessions, three finalists from Galway and three from Limerick will be invited to the gala awards ceremony at the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel on December 3, where the identities of each region’s winners will be revealed.
