TG4 to delve into life an a neglected author

Molly Keane was one of the most prolific Irish authors of the 20th century, yet she is also one of the most neglected.

A new TG4 documentary on her life and work - Molly Keane - Faobhar ar a Guth - which will be broadcast this Sunday, will set to give her some due recognition.

Keane often wrote under the pen name M J Farrell and it was only at the time of her death in 1981 that she began to receive some attention for her novel Good Behaviour.

A native of Kildare, she spent much of her life in Ardmore in Waterford. In this programme journalist and author Catherine Foley goes in search of Molly Keane and, with the help of friends and critics, sets her literary reputation in context.

Molly Keane - Faobhar ar a Guth is produced by Forefront Productions.
