Traditional games at the city museum

EVER PLAYED Queenie-Eye-O or Five Slates? Many children have never played games familiar to their parents or grandparents.

On Sunday September 6 at 1.30pm and 3.30pm Tom Doyle, Museum Educator, and Brendan McGowan of the Galway City Museum will facilitate a family event to teach a selection of traditional street games. The Museum café will also prepare a special children’s picnic menu.

This event will take place in the courtyard of the city museum (weather permitting ). This event is free of charge. Places are limited so booking is advisable on 091 - 532460.
