ATU to host webinar on free online short courses

Atlantic Technological University’s Higher Education 4.0 Project will host a lunchtime webinar focusing on ATU’s free online short courses, often referred to as MOOCs, on Wednesday, February 12, at 1pm.

The webinar will include a demonstration on how participants can register for or access one of ATU’s MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses ) while also highlighting the opportunities available by undertaking one of the courses on freecourses.atu.ie

ATU’s Head of Innovation OFPD (Online Flexible Professional Development ) Gavin Clinch will give a brief overview of the free online short courses.

There will be elevator pitches on several of the MOOCs, namely Social Robotics, An Introduction to Regulatory Affairs, Food Waste & Food Cloud, Workplace Health & Safety Induction, and Introduction to Marketing.

There are now over 40 free courses available on the ATU website – 22 of which Higher Education 4.0 has delivered or contributed to – and these vary from Lean Construction to Fundamentals of Garden Design to Ocean Pollution.
