Town Hall launches its jam-packed spring/summer programme

The Town Hall Theatre has launched its jam-packed selection of spring/summer shows, with tickets available for 188 performances, screenings and events across April, May and June.

Theatre highlights include Martin Mc Donagh’s Hangmen by Gaiety Productions and Moliere’s Tartuffe by the Abbey Theatre among many more.

The Town Hall will be hosting talks and shows from the upcoming Cuirt International Festival of Literature and Galway Theatre Festival, as well as screening two operas from the Irish National Opera, Werther and Cosi Fan Tutte.

Musicals will be performed by the Galway Musical Society - Menopause The Musical 2 and Enchanted Croi. The gig lineup is just as exciting, with bands and artists like Donovan, Declan Nerney, Karan Casey, Ron Sexsmith, Whistleblast Quartet, Garth Brooks Tribute, Leonard Cohen Tribute and Shaskeen scheduled to play the venue.

Lols will be provided by comedians including Martin Angolo, Emma Doran, Gary Gamble and Paul Smith.

Dance performers lined up include Eriu, Catherine Young, Liz Roche, Stephanie Dufresne and Flamenco Jazz World Project.

THT’s film programme features the super BANF Mountain Film Festival and Alan Corcoran’s fascinating documentary Unsinkable.

As well as all this, there will be performances from many of Galway’s leading Performing Arts schools including Trading Faces, Antoinette Casserly, Club Shine, Bushypark National School, Genevieve Ryan Academy and Ciara Beech Dance.
