The Ardilaun Hotel is delighted to win “Best Hotel Garden” once again in the Public and Commercial buildings category of the Galway City and Tidy Towns and Garden Competition for 2022.

The Ardilaun Hotel comes out tops once again and for the past nineteen years consecutively - every year since 2003 and for good reason. The hotel’s passionate gardener and landscape groundsman John McCallion who joined the team eighteen months ago has led the team to their success with his green fingered touch.

The carefully tended gardens at The Ardilaun portray a woodland feel from the front gate, and down the avenue right through to the lovely walkways, terrace area, and winding paths to the rear of the hotel, along with a wide variety of perennials and flowering plants on display throughout the grounds.

There is also a well developed Ardilaun Celebration Garden at the rear carefully designed by award winning Anne Byrne Garden Design and landscaping was beautifully completed by Galway’s own Radharc Landscaping.

Managing Director John Ryan said they are delighted to have won this prestigious award again this year.

“This achievement is testament to John, Maggie’s and Austin’s hard work and dedication especially over the last couple of years in making our gardens and grounds look so well, and they take immense pride and interest in them.

“We are proud of our gardens, especially when in full bloom, and they make a beautiful backdrop for many family occasions held at The Ardilaun including weddings, anniversary parties, birthdays and barbeques, and many guests have very happy memories of these events for years to come”.
