Compantas Lir’s Night of Comedy selling fast

The traditional magic of Compantas Lir’s autumn theatre Night of Comedy will be repeated next week when they are back on stage for the first time in three years.

Rehearsals of two productions are well under way in Carnmore Community Centre.

In Hallowe’en by James Scotland, the monks of Machaire Buí Abbey are dabbling in sorcery and have summoned up some feisty figures from the past, with hilarious results.

Directed by Philip J Cribbin, it stars Eoin McCarthy, Mike McNamara, Tom Jinks, Fionnuala Glynn, Deana Nic Uidhir, Breda Hannon Kate O’Donnell and Paul McNulty.

Gráinne Ní Allúin directs A Night Out by Frank Vickery.

While Doreen’s parents are at The Pigeon Club Dinner, she invites boyfriend Eric around for an evening of romance, however things do not go to plan for Doreen.

Starring Una Coleman, Joe O’Connell, John Heneghan, and Maura Mannion.
