Support A Night For Ollie — and help injured sportsman

Well-known Galway sportsman Ollie Keogh was the victim of an unprovoked attack in the family home in August 2022. Ollie suffered life threatening injuries which left him in the Intensive Care Unit of University College Hospital. He will be off work as a self-employed musician for the foreseeable future and is faced with considerable medical costs.

Ollie was a very talented footballer from a great Galway sporting family. He had trials with Leeds United with a youngster before going on to score eleven goals in eighty seven appearances in the League of Ireland with Galway United.

Ollie also played with Sligo Rovers as well as at juvenile, junior, Connacht Senior League, Oscar Traynor and Over 35s locally in a playing and coaching career that spanned almost forty years.

His friends in the musical and sporting communities have come together to raise funds for Ollie by holding a fundraising concert, “A Night For Ollie” at The Clayton Hotel, Galway, this Saturday, November 5.

Musicians performing include Point (friends and members of the band Pyramid ); Corina K; Feedback; and Ollie’s niece Katelyn Molloy.
