Bus Éireann asked to examine capacity on Moycullen/Oughterard service

Senator Seán Kyne has been advised by the National Transport Authority (NTA ) that it has asked Bus Éireann to compile details of the locations on route 419, where capacity issues arise.

Senator Kyne has made representation to the NTA following local complaints about overcrowding in the morning time in Moycullen and buses not stopping as a result.

Commented Senator Kyne “Local feedback from Bus Éireann is key to developing a fit for purpose timetable for bus services from Moycullen, Roscahill and Oughterard to Galway City.

“I have received numerous complaints from people who say that buses are full, and this is a deterrent to using bus services.

“Bus frequency has increased over the last number of years, but clearly an enhanced service is vital for this area, and I hope the NTA and Bus Éireann can provide that in the short term,” he said.
