Galway-based www.recruitdirect.ie sees leap in jobs posted online

A leading Galway recruitment company reports that it is seeing a growth in the number of jobs being posted on its website.

The company, www.recruitdirect.ie is the only jobsite actually headquartered in the west of Ireland, and more and more employers are now seeing the benefits of posting their jobs on the ever expanding site.

The firm was created in order to give jobseekers and employers more control over the recruitment process and more direct contact.

After doing much research and reviewing most of the large job boards, it found that in most cases more than 80 per cent of all postings were actually recruitment agency listings.

“We believe that by creating a website provides for a mechanism for direct interaction between Job Seekers and Employers that both parties will gain a greater deal of control during the recruitment process,” said Recruit Direct’s MD Marilyn Reddan attributes the jobsite’s growing popularity to its status as a dedicated employer and job seeker website.

“Unlike most of the large jobs sites, who carry up to and in some instances in excess of 80 per cent of their postings on behalf of recruitment agencies, Recruit Direct does not accept postings from agencies and puts job seekers and employers in direct contact with each other,” said Ms Reddan.

“In this way employers posting with RecruitDirect.ie know they are getting great value for their money without sacrificing quality. Jobseekers can also interact directly with the prospective employers without the associated costs in terms of loss of time and duplication by going through middle men,” she said.

“We have seen a huge increase in the number of skilled job hunters registering with the site. In excess of 120 job seekers have now successfully gained employment by utilising services offered by RecruitDirect.ie,” Ms Reddan said.
