This turned into a frustrating evening for Galway United at Eamonn Deacy Park.

A Treaty United squad featuring seven former Galway United players produced a defiant display to earn a share of the spoils.

Deep into injury time talented teenager Alex Murphy came close to scoring for United, but the visitors survived the scare.

In the first half Jack Lynch and Enda Curran were denied by two Conor Kearns saves, but John Caulfield's charges improved considerably after half-time.

Ronan Manning's 50th minute attempt following a Manu Dimas pass hit the post, while Treaty goalkeeper Conor Winn subsequently made a few decent saves too.

Manning and substitute Francely Lomboto were thwarted by Winn, but Treaty remained defiant, leaving the west heartened, and with a point.
