Matches continue to arrive thick and fast for Salthill Devon, who are away to Liffey Wanderers in the first round of the FAI Cup on Sunday.

Last weekend Salthill suffered a disappointing 4-1 FAI Junior Cup semi-final loss to Villa FC in Waterford.

Trailing by three goals at the interval, Mikie Fox replied for Devon, who were spirited, but Villa advanced to a decider against Pike Rovers at Turners Cross.

Victor Collins' charges will be hoping to respond in the capital against Liffey Wanderers.

In the Galway FA premier division title chasing Athenry host Colemanstown United on Saturday at Moonbaun.

With midweek fixtures taking place it is a very busy spell locally, but this match carries significant implications.

Athenry, with Cathal Fahy netting a brace, edged out West United at O'Connor Park.

Brendan O'Connor's Maree-Oranmore are at home to Tuam Celtic.

Corrib Celtic face St Bernard's at Annaghdown on Sunday morning, while West clash with Mervue. Loughrea's encounter with Galway Hibernians will be worth monitoring in the afternoon.
