Kearns signs new deal with United

Conor Kearns will be involved with Galway United in 2022

With pre-season training set to resume on January 10, Galway United manager John Caulfield is getting ready for the new campaign.

SSE Airtricity League first division clubs have been informed that the season will commence on February 25.

Highly regarded goalkeeper Conor Kearns has signed for next year. The former UCD and St Patrick's Athletic custodian believes significant potential exists in the west of Ireland.

"I’m delighted to get this over the line, there is no doubt in my mind that I wanted to be a Galway United player come next season, I signed to be part of a project and I definitely felt like we’re moving in the right direction," Kearns says.

Conor O'Keeffe, who made a significant impact with United, will also remain with United. “I’m delighted everything is sorted and getting it all done so soon, I’m looking forward now to the off season and preparing now to be ready for next year," O'Keeffe says.

It is anticipated that a new deal for Stephen Walsh is set to be announced in the coming days.
