What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Simply to sing, atop a hill or perhaps astride a hillock.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

Smaug - to terrorise an entire town just by sleeping next to it is surely the sort of power to which all dragons must aspire!

Which living person do you most admire?

Alex and Nicky who recently rescued me from a terribly tuneless existence. Bhíodar chomh cabhrúil!

Which is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Breathing fire upon those who annoy me - I always regret it moments later, but what can you

do?

What is your greatest extravagance?

Caithfidh mé a admháil, I spend a lot of money on my nails - pedicures are a dragon’s best

Friend.

What is your favourite journey?

The trip to visit my cousin Haku in Japan. It gives me a chance to catch up on my crosswords.

On what occasion do you lie?

Dragons must speak truthfully at all times!

Which living person do you most despise?

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

Draco agus is an-amhránaí é ar an sean nós.

Which talent would you most like to have?

Pottery, I’ve got the kiln but who has the time!?

What is your current state of mind?

Concerned about the warming of planet earth, níl aon ceann eile againn tá a fhois agaibh.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

I stopped a creature with a thousand legs from crossing a bridge I was guarding. He legged it.

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what do you think it would be?

One of those spoiled rotten cats or dogs you humans keep as pets

What is your most treasured possession?

I recently gave my most treasured possession away as a thank you gift - a dragon’s tooth - my great-grandfather’s in fact. Ceann do na rudaí is láidire ar domhan!

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

To have the wish to sing, but no voice with which to do so.

What is your favourite occupation?

Back-up dancer for The Corrs.

What is the quality you most like in a man?

Honesty, ionracas.

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

Honesty - I pride myself in holding all human creatures to the same standards.

Cressida Cowell.
