GMIT School of Science and Computing launches five new master's programmes

GMIT’s School of Science and Computing has launched five new Master of Science programmes commencing in September 2021 - the MSc in sport and clinical biomechanics, MSc in nutrition and sensory science, MSc in medical science, MSc in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, and the MSc in international medical technologies, innovation, and development are all in-demand courses as highlighted in Ireland’s National Skills Strategy 2025.

Each of the new programmes has been developed in partnership with enterprise, delivering innovative training schemes consistent with the highly competitive and increasingly inter-disciplinary requirements demanded by the jobs of tomorrow.

The first two programmes are delivered in the Department of Sport, Exercise, and Nutrition headed by Dr Lisa Ryan, with the other three delivered in the newly established Department of Analytical, Biopharmaceutical, and Medical Science headed by Dr Eugene McCarthy, recently appointed as the new head of department within the School of Science and Computing.
