Gardai probe city and county burglaries

On Wednesday January 20 between 4.30pm and 5pm a house in Tirellan Heights, Galway was broken into and damage caused. During the course of the burglary a number of items of jewellery were taken. Anyone who may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Tirellan Heights area around that time, or who may have any information in relation to this break in or the stolen jewellery is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Also on Wednesday, January 20 between 5.15pm and 5.50 pm a house in Cregboy, Claregalway, Co Galway was broken into. During the burglary a black Lenovo Laptop was taken. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to this burglary or who may have been offered the black Lenovo Laptop for sale to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091 388030.

Again on January 20 a house at Gort Na Rí, Athenry, Co Galway was broken in to and a number of items of jewellery taken. Gardaí in Athenry are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything that could help their investigation or may have any information in relation to the stolen jewellery to contact them on 091-844016.

Goalposts stolen

Sometime between midnight and 9am on Tuesday January 19 a set of 6ft x 4ft goalposts and a child’s BMX bike were stolen from the front garden of a house at Glenbaun, Ballybane, Galway.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen anyone taking either of these items or may have been offered either of these items for sale to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000.

Sometime between 2 and 2.30pm on Thursday January 21 and Friday January 22 a 16ft galvanised gate was stolen from St Clerans, Craughwell, Co Galway.
