Acknowledging the difficulties that local charities have encountered in their fundraising attempts this year, Clayton Hotel Galway has €1,000 to gift to one lucky charity.
In keeping with the festive Christmas tradition of giving during this difficult year, Clayton Hotel Galway will be gifting €1,000 to one lucky charity.
The hotel is asking the people of Galway to nominate local charities via email throughout the month of December before the recipient is then chosen at random early in the New Year.
For many years Clayton Hotel Galway has supported numerous charities and local sporting clubs in their fundraising campaigns by hosting a wide variety of popular events, from Strictly Come Dancing to LipSync to Fashion Shows in front of packed crowds.
All of these types of events had to be postponed in 2020 due to the Covid19 pandemic, and Clayton Hotel’s General Manager Rory Fitzpatrick felt now was the right time to give back to the local community.
“2020 has been a really tough year for many people and no more so than for the many charitable organisations that do such great work in our community. Starved of fund-raising opportunities a lot now find themselves in real difficulty and it’s our hope that our donation now can make a difference and help them continue the good fight to improve people’s lives.”
