Nashville music label to host songwriting showcase in Galway

Event to be led by Grammy and Juno nominated pianist and producer Roger Ryan

AFTERTOUCH MUSIC, the Nashville based record label, will host its first annual songwriting camp in Galway this weekend, featuring 20 songwriters, producers, and singers.

The event will culminate in an intimate gig this Saturday at 8pm in The Black Gate Cultural Centre, St Francis Street. AfterTouch was set up by the Grammy and Juno nominated pianist and producer Roger Ryan, who has worked with Whitney Heuston, Faith Hill, and Kenny Rogers. He will be joined for the event by US singer Chris Willis, the voice behind French producer David Guetta’s US billboard chart topping dance anthems such as 'Just a Little More Love' and 'Love Don’t Let Me Go'.

Ryan said hosting the songwriting camp in Galway made sense as "it’s the 2020 European Capital of Culture and it is a great excuse to visit Galway". In addition to the Galway artists and the organising team of Parisch and Oisin Browne, the writing camp will be attended by singers and musicians from Italy, Wales, France, Switzerland, Denmark, USA, and Trinidad and Tobago.
