Award for the Westwood

The Westwood Hotel has received a special merit award at the CIE Tours International Awards. The hotel saw more than 10,000 customers of CIE Tours International pass through its doors in 2008.

Criteria on which the hotel was judged for the award included accommodation, breakfast, dinner, service, and overall impression of the hotel. The special merit award is given to those properties which achieve a customer satisfaction rating of in excess of 90 per cent.

Speaking at the presentation of the award, hotel general manager Dave Kelly paid tribute to the hard work and excellence of his team.

“The guests of CIE Tours International traditionally demand the very best levels of comfort, service, and food, and to receive such an award from them is testament to each member of staff with whom they come in contact, and indeed to those who work behind the scenes,” he said.

The four-star hotel recently celebrated the award with a staff evening in sister property Busker Browne’s of Cross Street.
