Gearóid Farrelly - Alchemy

Comedian to ask the fundamental questions, and solve the world's problems along the way.

IN THE mediaeval world, those who practised alchemy sought to turn lead into gold, and believed that everything around us contains a universal spirit, and that all metals were spiritually and physically immature form of higher metals such as gold.

Alchemy is also the title of the new show from comedian Gearóid Farrelly, which he brings to the Town Hall Theatre studio on Thursday February 20 at 8.30pm. Indeed, for this show, Gearóid will deliver comedy gold through turning his mind to high things, asking fundamental questions, and solving the world's problems along the way.

He will explain why science needs more laughs, why we need more superstar comebacks, and why Conor McGregor should just stop talking. Gearóid toured with Joan Rivers, Patton Oswalt, and Sarah Millican. He recently appeared on the BBC radio 4 panel show An Elephant In The Room, and can be heard on his podcast Fascinated.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ).
