Waves, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Lighthouse, and Parasite

1917, WAVES, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Lighthouse, and Parasite, will be the next three films in the Pálás Cinema's Silver Screen screenings.

Silver Screen takes place every Friday at 10.30am, and is aimed at retired film fans, with tickets at the reduced rate of €6, including complimentary tea and coffee before the film. The snug area of the cinema bar is free following the film for chats, scones, tea, and coffee.

The films for the coming weeks are the award winning WWI drama 1917 (see this week's film review ) tomorrow; Waves (January 24 ), tracing the emotional journey of a suburban family as they navigate love, forgiveness, and coming together in the aftermath of a loss; The Personal History of David Copperfield (January 31 ), a comedy-drama from Armando Iannucci, based on the Dickens' novel, and starring Dev Patel, Peter Capaldi, Hugh Laurie, Tilda Swinton, and Paul Whitehouse.

Also being shown is The Lighthouse (February 7 ), a psychological horror starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson and shot in black and white; and Parasite (February 14 ), winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
