Danny O’Brien - Reformer at the Róisín Dubh

What happens when a touring stand-up comedian can no longer stand up?

WHAT HAPPENS when a touring stand-up comedian can no longer stand up? This is the central question in Reformer, the new show from the award winning Irish comedian, Danny O'Brien.

After a near career-ending knee injury, O' Brien knows he is too young for Pilates and too unbalanced for yoga. Reformer, which comes to the Róisín Dubh on Saturday January 25 at 8pm, is where O'Brien brings together self-destruction and self-discovery, in order to make sense of it all.

O'Brien has been called "uproariously funny" by The Sunday Independent, while The Examiner said, "one suspects it won’t be too much longer before stadiums come calling". He also supported Bill Burr at Dublin's 3 Arena. Afterwards Burr declared: “He opened for me...and he f*cking murdered it!”

Following in the footsteps of Tommy Tiernan and Dylan Moran, O'Brien was handpicked to perform as part of the iconic ‘Best of the Edinburgh Fest’ show touring Australia three years in a row - the most by any Irish comedian to date. He has also featured on The Comedy Channel and has supported Today FM’s Dermot & Dave on three live tours.

Tickets are available from www.roisindubh.net; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; and the Róisín Dubh.
