New Year creative writing classes

Susan Millar DuMars to teach new courses in poetry and fiction

ANYONE WHOSE New Year resolutions include finally getting around to writing that poem, short story, or novel, should check out a new series of classes in the Galway Arts Centre.

The poet and short story writer Susan Millar DuMars will lead a series of classes suitable for both beginning and continuing creative writing students, working in poetry or fiction. The classes take place on Mondays from 2.30pm to 4pm, starting January 27, and run for 10 weeks.

Susan is the author of five collections of poetry, Big Pink Umbrella (2008 ), Dreams For Breakfast (2010 ), The God Thing (2013 ), Bone Fire (2016 ), and Naked: New and Selected Poems (2019 ), all published by Salmon Poetry. Her short story collection, Lights In The Distance, was published in 2010 by Doire Press.
