Get your family along to Sunday’s Claregalway Jingle Bells fun runs and walks

Families of all ages and abilities are invited to come along for the Claregalway Jingle Bells fun run/walk to be held this weekend.

Clare River Harriers Athletic Club and Claregalway Handball Club have joined forces in hosting the Claregalway Jingle Bells fun runs this Sunday December 8.

The main sponsor is ProAir Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems.The 5K course is a certified course and the event has an approved permit from Athletics Ireland.

The fun runs are being held to support fund raising for juveniles at both clubs, Clare River Harriers Athletic Club has more than 200 juvenile members and Claregalway Handball Club has more than 70 juvenile members.

The first event is the Claregalway Jingle Bells 5K fun run and walk which starts at 11am outside the Claregalway Community Centre. Enter online on www.active.com Entry fee for the 5K is €10. Full details and link to online entry for 5K is on www.clareriverharriers.com

There are four juvenile 1K fun runs and walks which will start at midday outside the Claregalway Community Centre. There will be fun runs/walks for girls under 11, boys under 11, girls under 14 and boys under 14. Entry fee for each juvenile is €5. Maximum €20 per family.

Special prizes for all juveniles. All registrations on the day for the 5K and 1K will be taken in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir from 9.30am to 10.45am, registrations for the 1K will continue to 11.45am.

Refreshments afterwards in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir. All are welcome.
