From the Bridge Mills to Dominick Street to Ravens Terrace across to Henry Street over to Williams Street West, into the small Crane and onto Sea Road, Galways Westend will officially light up on Friday 6th December.
Westend businesses will come together in a community style Christmas gathering. There will be carolling from The Blue Notes Choir, the award-winning local businesses will be serving some food and mulled wines and newly appointed Westend ambassador Patrick Becker from Blue Teapot Theatre Company will officially be turning on the Christmas lights at the Small Crane at 6:15pm.
“It’s a great honour to be asked to light up Galway’s Westend this Christmas, and I’m really proud to represent Blue Teapot Theatre Company,” said Patrick.
Galways Westend are partnering with Blue Teapot Theatre Company for 2020 and the theatre company will be the community’s charity partner for the entire year. Blue Teapot is a multi-award-winning Theatre Company, Performing Arts School & Outreach programme for people with intellectual disabilities at the forefront of arts & disability in Ireland. The company HQ is located on Munster Avenue in Galways Westend.
All proceeds from all refreshments and food sales will go directly to the Blue Teapot Theatre Company. This is a family friendly event and everyone is invited to join in the festive fun back west. The evening begins at 6pm. If its raining the Christmas Launch will take place in Massimo’s Winter Wonderland on William Street West. Just Art It on Dominick Street will be toasting to Christmas from 6pm to 9pm on December 6th as well. Everyone is invited to all events.
Galways westend will host a Table Quiz in Massimo Bar on Monday 25th November at 7pm with prizes that include tickets to some of the best gigs coming to Galway, a chance to eat in some of the best restaurants in Galway, drinks tabs and of course what would it be without a month’s supply of Toilet roll. Table of 4 is €40.
