Junior Minister East Galway TD Ciaran Cannon has welcomed confirmation that the Department of Education has granted approval for repair works to the roof of Craughwell NS.
Minister for the Diaspora and International Development Cannon has stated that the OPW will now issue the letter of intent for the contract and that the approval is another sign of the progress being made as work continues towards the full school upgrade.
“I’m delighted to say that Minister McHugh contacted me to confirm that his Department has now granted approval for the restoration of the flat roof in the existing building of Craughwell NS.”
“The OPW will now issue the letter of intent for the contract and approval for these repairs is another sign of the progress being made as work continues towards the full school upgrade.
“When this project is complete, the students, staff and community of Craughwell will have a state-of-the-art facility that matches any other in the country and I’m especially pleased that this approval comes so soon after the Town and Village Renewal Scheme announcement which will link the school with a vital new piece of local infrastructure,” he said.
