Ten minute study will help charity plan its future

A charity is urging local people affected by cancer to take part in an online survey which will help shape its work in the future. The Irish Cancer Society says the study takes just 10 minutes to complete.

"We are currently preparing an ambitious new five-year strategy," says its chief executive Averil Power.

"To ensure we focus on the right things, we are asking people affected by cancer in Galway to tell us how we can best help. We would love to hear from anyone is currently, or has previously, been impacted by cancer, whether as a patient or as a friend or family member of a patient."

The charity is keen to find out the areas in which it does well. "We also want to know what areas we could do better in and what gaps in supports people think we should try to fill.

"By completing the survey people can help shape our priorities for the next five years and ensure we make the greatest possible difference for everyone affected by cancer. The survey will only take 10 minutes and all answers are confidential."
