Galway Races announced Last evening (Wednesday ) that Ireland’s leading digital destination for women, Her.ie will be taking the reins as title sponsor of the 2019 Best Dressed Ladies Competition 2019 on Thursday, August 1. This exciting new sponsorship is part of a three-year deal and marks the 150th anniversary of the iconic summer festival.

Held every year at the Ballybrit racecourse, the Galway Races attracts crowds of over 145,000 with Ladies Day widely regarded as the biggest day in the Irish Racing Calendar. Her are looking forward to bringing their own signature flair, engaging content and loyal audience to this year’s Ladies Day proceedings. Her’s dedicated Style section on site had close to 26 million page views in the past year, so they are expertly positioned to showcase all the excitement from trackside.

This year, racegoers will also enjoy a new Her Ladies Day Live Show. The trackside broadcast will capture all the atmosphere and excitement from the day, while being streamed live on Her social channels. A judging panel of experts and roving ‘style reporters’ will cover the length and breadth of the racecourse to scout out the best outfits and treat viewers to style tips from racegoers and all the behind the scenes outfit inspiration from the Her Ladies Day Best Dress Competition finalists.

The Her Ladies Day Live Show will culminate with the announcement of the Her Best Dressed Competition, with the winning lady walking away with a luxury holiday from Emirates Holidays to the Seychelles worth over €2,500 including flights, accommodation, transfers and a whopping €3,000 in cash.

A brand new judging panel and theme will also be announced in the coming weeks promising an expert voice and a new layer of appreciation for attainable fashion.

Commenting on the new sponsorship deal, Michael Moloney Manager of Galway Racecourse said they are really excited to announce this new sponsorship deal with such a successful vibrant Irish brand as Her.ie “The prize is fantastic and one we feel will be well sought after. This Summer is our 150th birthday and we look forward to welcoming all our guests to the races in July,” he said.

Gillian Fitzpatrick, Chief Operating Officer at Maximum Media states: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Ladies Day Best Dressed Competition this year and looking forward to amplifying the 150th anniversary celebrations across our Her channels, bringing Ladies Day to Ireland’s largest female platform”.

Admission on the day is €30 per person, registration for Her Ladies Day is free of charge and will take place at the Her Marquee located beside the parade ring from 11am on the day. We look forward to seeing you.
