Think you have what it takes to be crowned as Miss Galway 2019/20? Fancy being the next Rosanna Davison?
The search is on for Miss Galway contestants. The winner of the Miss Galway selection will represent the City and County in the national Miss Ireland Final later this year. The Galway selection will be held in DNA Nightclub & Venue on Friday, 7th June.
Established in 1947, Miss Ireland has proven to be a launch pad for many influential, successful and empowering women. Winners of the Miss Ireland pageant go forward and represent Ireland at a global level, in Miss World.
The competition has not only been successful for the overall winners of the coveted crown, but also for finalists who have been part of this competition previously and credit Miss Ireland for helping build their confidence, self-esteem, interview and media skills; all elements that they have gone on to use in their chosen professional careers.
Former Miss Galway 2013, Laura Fox, insists that taking part in the contest was one of the best decisions she has ever made. “Winning Miss Galway opened so many doors for me. It gave me the connections and confidence to push myself into the world of media, something I had only ever dreamed of up until that point.” Ms Fox is now a radio presenter with 2FM and has enjoyed a career of modelling, presenting and more.
