Louis O'Hara to run for SF in Oranmore-Athenry

Candidate to be officially selected tomorrow

Louis O’Hara, a final year BA public and social policy student at NUI Galway, will be selected as the Sinn Féin candidate for the Athenry-Oranmore ward at the 2019 Local Elections.

Mr O'Hara will be formally selected at a convention tomorrow at 6.30pm in the New Park Hotel, Athenry. Sinn Féin MEP Matt Carthy will address the convention. Mr O’Hara is from Cashla, Athenry, and works part time at Athenry Golf Club. Among the issues he will be campaigning on are lack of public services in rural Ireland; emigration; pay inequality; and pressure on farm incomes.
