Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre to host second English Language education international conference in Galway

Following the school’s 30th birthday conference last year, Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre will hold another ELE conference event on May 19 at the Harbour Hotel, Galway. The event is open to all English language teachers as well as academic managers.

The event brings together a group of presenters who are experts in their fields and includes John Hughes, ELT author with National Geographic Learning, discussing how to make critical thinking an everyday part of your teacher toolkit; Thom Kiddle, director of Nile Training, Norwich, UK, focusing on professional development through student progress; and Jo Watson, Eaquals sponsored speaker who will look at providing feedback and correction techniques.

There will also be three TED-style presentations from members of the school staff — Cathy Peck, Mairead O’Connor, and Ciara Ni Eochaidh.

The event has been made possible with sponsorship from Pearson Education and National Geographic Learning, O'Driscoll O'Neill Insurance, and Zoogle.

“We are delighted to run this free event again this year in Galway and contribute to the professional development of teachers working in English language education in Ireland,” said school director Patrick Creed.

The conference is now fully booked. Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre’s next TEFL teacher training CELT course runs from June 5 and is now booking. Contact the school at [email protected] or call 091 566468.
