Book launches at next Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering

FOUR NEW books will be launched at the next Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering - poetry collections by Stephanie Conn, Robyn Rowland, and Kate Ennals, and a new short story collection from Rosemary Jenkinson.

Belfast's Rosemary Jenkinson is the author of a number of plays, including The Bonefire, winner of Stewart Parker BBC Radio Award 2006. She also wrote the short story collections, Contemporary Problems Nos. 53 & 54 (2004 ), Aphrodite’s Kiss & Further Stories (2016 ), and this year's Catholic Boys, published by Doire Press.

Antrim's Stephanie Conn won the 2015 Funeral Services NI Poetry Prize, the 2015 Yeovil Poetry Prize, the inaugural Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing, and the 2016 Poetry Business Pamphlet Competition. Her new collection, Island, is published by Galway's Doire Press. Irish-Australian Robyn Rowland has written 13 books, including 10 collections of poetry. Her latest book is Mosaics From The Map, published by Doire Press. Kate Ennals' second collection, Threads, published in April, will have its Galway launch at this event. She has lived in Ireland for 25 years and runs poetry and writing workshops in Cavan.

The gathering takes place in The Kitchen, Galway City Museum, Spanish Arch, on Friday May 18 at 8pm. Admission is free.
