Athlone's Luan Gallery will host a children's christmas workshop on Saturday, December 2.
The workshop, which costs €15 per child, is open to children aged between seven and 12 and takes place at 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. Children will create handmade Christmas presents using Encaustic and Stained Glass art making techniques. At the end of the workshop they will have created their very own personalized Christmas themed artworks and stained glass art pieces.
The workshop is run by Rosemarie Langtry, a contemporary visual artist living in Ballinahown, County Offaly. Rosemarie has exhibited in many group shows and three solo exhibitions. She works within the community, facilitating art classes for children, women's groups and active retirement groups.
