Soho - experience the taste of Asia with Athlone’s newest eatery

Looking for somewhere with mouthwatering food and a relaxing environment? Then newly opened Asian restaurant Soho is the spot for you.

Experience the very best in Asian-style cuisine, made from the healthiest and freshest ingredients sourced locally where possible.

Soho’s head chef has more than 15 years of experience and is dedicated to providing the very best of Asian cuisine with a local twist.

Enjoy a selection of tasty dishes including noodles, soups, curries, fried dishes, and an extensive children’s menu.

For a noodle dish, the chef recommends Pad Thai: flat noodles with chicken, prawn or tofu and vegetables, served with egg, spring onion, beansprouts, carrot and tamarind sauce, all garnished with peanuts, lime, and coriander.

Or try the teriyaki ramen: beef steak on a bed of wok-fried ramen noodles with curry oil, beansprouts, egg, onion, red chillies with teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds, and coriander.

Feeling like something with a bit more spice to it? Thai green curry is a dish you will enjoy. This rich and spicy curry is served with coconut milk, mangetout, onion, carrots, peppers, and basil leaves. For something slightly milder, the Thai red curry is equally tasty without the major spicy kick. There are many other delicious curry dishes at Soho, and each is available with your choice of chicken, beef, prawn, or tofu and vegetables.

Perhaps fried food is more to your fancy. Again, Soho has a range of delicious dishes to satisfy your cravings.

These include spicy chicken served with peppers, carrot, onion, spring onion, all in a hot spicy sauce; satay chicken with onion, carrot, peppers and courgette in a peanut sauce; sweet and sour chicken is served with pineapple, carrot and cucumber in a home-made sauce; yakitori roast duck is served on steamed pokchoi and green beans in Japanese yakitori sauce, all garnished with coriander and sesame seeds.

The selection of sides offered by Soho include all of your old favourites, including vegetable spring rolls, shredded chicken, crispy prawns, chicken wings, and more.

The children’s menu at Soho is rich and varied, making this the ideal location to bring the entire family.
