Enjoy beef meatballs wrapped in a crispy pastry and served with basmati rice and fresh tomato basil; halloumi cheese rolled with mincemeat and served with four-season spicy sauce, rice, and poppadoms; an Ottoman-style chicken dish served with basmati rice, mushrooms, onion, garlic, chili, pepper and tomato; or chicken roulade stuffed with Parma ham, garlic, spinach and buffalo mozzarella and garlic and spinach cream sauce.
For the traditionalists out there, Bacchus also serves all your old favourites from sirloin steak and Irish lamb to confit of duck, Atlantic salmon, and supreme of chicken, all with a Mediterranean feel. His rich experience shows through beautiful, flavoursome, and unpretentious food with a focus on fresh local ingredients. Bacchus is located at Custume Pier, Athlone. The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 10pm and from Friday to Sunday from 1pm to 10pm.
